Jacob Holt Will

In the Name of God, Amen. I, Jacob Holt, being of sound mind aDd memory and considering the frailty and and uncertainty of life I therefore do make constitute and Publish this to be my last will and Testament, and do hereby Give divise and disburse all of my Property both Real and personal as follows:

1st that after my disease all of my just and lawful debts be paid.

2nd I give and bequeath to my Beloved Wife all that part of my land on which I now live Known as the House Lot, or Lot No. 1 containing one Hundred and Fifty acres to hold during her life time together with as much of my stock of Horses, cattle and farming implements and Household and Kitchen furniture as she may need or desire.

3rd I give and bequeath to my daughter Sallie Patton the tract of land on which she now lives together with fifteen acres known as the Shop'Lot, also one other lot of sixty six acres known as Lot No.2 in all two hundred and four acres.

4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary S. Faucett the Sum of five dollars in addition to a former advancement of nine Hundred Dollars.

5th I give and bequeath my daughter Elizabeth W. Anderson eighty seven acres of my land known as Lot No.5 in addition to a forner gift of eighty acres on which she now lives making in all one Hundred and sixty seven acres.

6th I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza A. McCracken niney seven acres of my land in addition to 107 acres formerly given to her in all making two Hundred and five acres known as Lot no. 4.

7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Holt at the death of my wife, one Hundred and fifty acres of my land known as the House Lot or Lot No. 1.

8th I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel R. Johnston forty acres of my land in addition to a former gift of one Hundred and fifteen acres in all one Hundred and sixty four acres and known as Lot no. 5.

9th I will that my Rail Road stock amounting' to six hundred Dollars shall be taken in charge by my Executors and the the dividends accruing yearly, to be applied first to the payment of the taxes on the House Lot or Lot No. 1 the Balance of Sd dividends to be Equally Divided between my other children Share & Share alike yearly.

10th I will that in reading of Section 3 of this Instrument it Shall be so construed so as to Reserve the meadow of the Shop Lot to the use of Lot No.1 or house lot.

11th I will that after the death of my wife the proceeds of the Sales be applied in such a way as that those having Received least shall have most of sd proceeds that in the end each of my children shall have Received as near as possible Equally in property value.

12th I do hereby make and constitute my soninlaw Wm J. Anderson and my grand son I. B. Patton my Lawful Executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me this July 10th A. D. 1876
